Mr. Moors is a retired member of the Royal Canadian Air Force who continues to serve his country. He was instrumental in establishing the Lethbridge Long Term Veterans Care Association, which is a registered society and non-profit organization. The society acts as an advocate for all Veterans in long term care. As president of the society, Mr. Moors is responsible for day-to-day administration and the welfare of Veterans. He ensures Veterans in long term care partake in monthly outings, which provide entertainment and camaraderie. On Remembrance Day, Mr. Moors ensures Veterans participate in a special memorial service. An annual Christmas party is held for Veterans and a gift basket is provided to those who cannot attend. Mr. Moors is also an active member of the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada (ANAVETS) and has been service officer for the past 17 years. He is also very active in his church, and was a former Lay Minister in the United Church.
