Robert Morrison

Vancouver, British Columbia

Mr. Morrison is a civilian with a keen interest in military history. He is one of the founding members of the Canadian Military Remembrance Society in Vancouver and is its immediate past president. Mr. Morrison has a collection of restored military vehicles and related props, uniforms and military memorabilia. He uses this equipment to engage both youth and Veterans and he encourages them to interact with one another. For the past five years, Mr. Morrison has been responsible for a military display, viewed by more than 10,000 students, that allows them to gain a deeper appreciation of our military history. Mr. Morrison is always willing to lend a hand when called upon by Veterans Affairs Canada. He has acted as a “greeter” at departmental events, has driven Veterans in his vintage vehicles onto the field at the BC Lions football game during Veterans’ Week, and has assisted in preparing displays for the Department using his expertise in theatre set design.
