Ronald Archie Lundin

Ronald Lundin is nominated for his dedication to his fellow Veterans as well as his service to The Royal Canadian Legion.

He is the “backbone” of the RCL, Branch #97 in Oliver, British Columbia. Over more than 28 years of membership, he has taken on many roles including treasurer, house and grounds manager and canteen manager. He is also a regular member of the colour party at Remembrance Day ceremonies, funeral services and other events. He actively participates in the Legion’s charitable campaigns including the Poppy Campaign.

He can be found at the branch seven days a week, helping his comrades who have come to depend on his experience and willingness to help with financial and medical issues. He takes the time to share his knowledge and gives guidance to newly appointed branch executives. He often visits Veterans in their homes in order to help them with benefits or simply to spend some time with them.

During the lead up to Remembrance Day, he visits schools in an effort to ensure that the youth understand the sacrifices of our Canadian Veterans.
