Samuel Billich

Mr. Billich is a Veteran of the British Army and the Canadian Forces. He has been an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion for 8 years and is also a member of the Northern Ireland Veterans' Association, the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps Association, and the Military Police Association of Canada. Mr. Billich is involved in the Poppy Fund, which he supports annually, and he represents the Veterans' associations he belongs to at numerous commemorative ceremonies throughout the year. He conducts visits to schools and to cadet corps to educate youth on the achievements and sacrifice of Canadian Veterans. As a member of the Veterans' Memorial Advisory Committee, he held a key role in the creation of the Ontario Veterans' Memorial located at Queen's Park in Toronto. Mr. Billich was a member of The Calgary Soldiers' Memorial committee, which was charged with the establishment of a memorial dedicated to the more than 3,000 soldiers who paid the supreme sacrifice while fighting for Calgary Reserve Army Regiments overseas.
