Samuel Ervin Clark

A Second World War Veteran, Mr. Clark and his wife have been managing the Woodstock Veterans Home for thirty-nine years without any remuneration. Despite being blind in both eyes, Mr. Clark fulfills his duties to the utmost and with unfailing good humour. As Chairman of the Woodstock Veterans Home, Mr. Clark attends to the needs of the staff and boarders, ordering food and supplies, attending to repairs and taking care of the Home's financial affairs. Through his tireless devotion to the care and well-being of Veterans, his commendable work to protect their interests and his remarkable generosity of spirit, Mr. Clark has set an outstanding example of selfless service for others.
