Mrs. Evans was a tireless and devoted member of The Royal Canadian Legion (RCL) from 1974 until she passed away in January, 2012. During those years, Mrs. Evans was Service Officer of RCL Branch 160. She was extremely knowledgeable in the medical field and she used that expertise most effectively when dealing with Veterans and their dependents to ensure they received the best quality of life. Despite her own health issues, Mrs. Evans was relentless in assisting the many Veterans and their families she encountered with her role as Service Officer. Mrs. Evans made a significant difference in the lives of many Veterans due to her common sense, sensitivity, thoughtfulness and insight.
