Sierra Noble

At the young age of 19 years, Miss Noble has had a long journey with the Canadian Forces and wartime Veterans and has touched the lives of many others. A fiddle playing child prodigy, Miss Noble began playing traditional Métis music, as well as celtic, bluegrass and jazz music at the age of 7. In 2005, Miss Noble was invited by Veterans Affairs Canada to participate in the Aboriginal Spiritual Journey to Belgium and France. This journey enabled participants to pay tribute to First Nations, Métis and Inuit Veterans. In 2007, Miss Noble was again part of a VAC pilgrimage - the 90th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge in France, where she captured the hearts of Canada's Veterans with her music. She performed The Warrior's Lament, which was her composition and profoundly moved everyone in attendance and those watching on television. Captivated by her performance at Vimy, later that year, General Rick Hillier invited Miss Noble to perform at the Governor General's Ball. She also performed The Warrior's Lament in Ottawa that year during Veterans' Week, at the annual Senate Ceremony and at the annual Candlelight Ceremony. In the past year Miss Noble has begun to perform military show tours, the most recent one being to the Arctic in December. Her genuine awareness and heartfelt gratitude towards Canada's Veterans is evident in all she does. Miss Noble is a role model for youth, and most notably for the Aboriginal community.
