Mr. Hicks is a Canadian Forces Veteran. He has been active within his community and has been an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion for more than 40 years. He has served on most Executive positions, including branch president for eight years. Mr. Hicks is very active with the annual Poppy Campaign, annual Remembrance Day ceremonies and parades. Committed to assisting Veterans in his community, Mr. Hicks brings Veterans to and from medical appointments and does so at his own expense. Mr. Hicks is the recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Medal for his ongoing contribution to his community.
