Stéphane Corbeil

Mr. Corbeil is a retired Canadian Forces Veteran with 20 years of service, particularly in Special Duty Areas such as Somalia in 1993. Since his retirement, Mr. Corbeil has been volunteering extensively to assist Veterans suffering with Operational Stress Injuries. Living with an Operational Stress Injury himself, Mr. Corbeil's own experience has provided him the insight to better support, encourage and assist Veterans in getting the help and resources available to them. For the past two years, Mr. Corbeil has been working to open the lines of communication between Veterans and staff at Ste. Anne's Hospital. He has been working to develop a new charter for clients. This draws upon the experience he gained during consultations around the New Veterans Charter which was introduced in 2006. Mr. Corbeil has also been actively involved with the annual Veterans' Week activities at Ste. Anne's Hospital. He is a member of the Quebec Vietnam Veterans Association and he is also associated with an organization that looks after the well being of youth.
