Mr. Rockburne is a Veteran of the Second World War, Korean War and a Canadian Forces Veteran. For nearly 60 years, Mr. Rockburne has held several positions including entertainment chairperson, secretary and fundraiser with the Korea Veterans Association of Canada. He has been an active member in numerous Veterans' organizations including: the Canadian Merchant Navy Veterans Association (69 years); Burma Star Association (62 years); Korea Veterans Association of Canada (56 years); The Royal Canadian Legion (45 years); Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry Association (42 years); and, Canadian Naval Veterans of Calgary (10 years). Despite being fully visually impaired, Mr. Rockburne continues to serve those in need.
