Thomas Faulkner

Mr. Faulkner is a Veteran of the Second World War. He is active with the Merchant Seamen's Association in Winnipeg and singlehandedly publishes and distributes the association's monthly newsletter helping to keep Veterans in the community up to date on issues that are important to them. Mr. Faulkner helped to fundraise, design, install and dedicate the commemorative stained glass window for Merchant Navy seaman in the chapel at Deer Lodge Hospital. Never one to sit idle, Mr. Faulkner is involved with the local seniors' centre helping seniors and Veterans stay active and engaged in their community. Mr. Faulkner is a retired registered nurse and continues his care giving wherever he goes, providing help to anyone in need. Veterans in the city of Winnipeg are fortunate to be the beneficiaries of Mr. Faulkner's dedication and commitment. Having served with the British Navy, Mr. Faulkner chose to become a Canadian citizen 55 years ago.
