Mr. White is a retired Canadian Forces Veteran with 39 years of service including postings in Europe, Middle East, and Congo where he survived an ambush. After his retirement in 1991, he became a Service Officer with Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans (ANAVETS) and he continues to serve Veterans in that capacity. He also provides assistance to other Veterans in the New Waterford area. Mr. White is a member of the Cape Breton Veterans Hospital Comfort Committee and he also regularly visits hospitalized Veterans. He is a recipient of the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal for his work with Veterans.
