Mr. Brooks is an active member of the League of Merchant Mariner Veterans of Canada as well as the Company of Master Mariners of Canada. As a result, he is actively involved in all issues related to Master Mariner Veterans. Mr. Brooks was a member of the negotiating committee which was successful in obtaining benefits for Merchant Navy Veterans. He has attended hearings and submitted briefs on behalf of Merchant Mariner Veterans before the Veterans Review and Appeal Board in Ottawa. Mr. Brooks is an asset to the Merchant Navy community and his advice and counsel are readily sought and much appreciated.
