Wayne Mac Culloch

Major Wayne Mac Culloch is a retired member of the Canadian Forces. Since 2004, Mr. Mac Culloch has volunteered his time and talent to help deliver the “Peace Module” at the Historica Dominion Institute’s Encounters with Canada program. Each week during the school year, the Encounters with Canada program brings more than 120 teenagers from across the country to Ottawa to learn more about Canada. The “Peace Module,” an initiative offered in partnership with Veterans Affairs Canada, explores the nature of peace and freedom over the years, culminating in a special candlelight tribute to remember those who have given their lives in service to their country. Mr. Mac Culloch’s passion and dedication each and every week is remarkable. To date, he has delivered approximately 130 sessions and has reached about 15,000 youth from every province and territory. Mr. Mac Culloch’s engaging manner resonates with the teenagers. His blend of extensive personal experience and insight leaves them with a valuable new perspective on an important subject. Mr. Mac Culloch is the President of the Ottawa Chapter of the Canadian Association of Veterans in United Nations Peacekeeping (CAVUNP).
