Wilfred LeBlanc

Mr. LeBlanc is a retired Canadian Forces Veteran. He is a life member of The Royal Canadian Legion (RCL), and for 43 years he has been a staunch supporter and advocate for Veterans. He has held numerous positions within the executive of his Legion Branch and continues to serve as the Service Officer where he has influenced Veterans by assisting and guiding them through their applications for pensions and assistance. Mr. LeBlanc founded the Blue Helmets Peacekeepers Association and the New Brunswick Signals Association, and during his involvement with these associations helped to raise more than $4,000 for the Fredericton Veterans Health Unit wheel chair bus and several thousand dollars for the support of community projects in Afghanistan. He was the driving force behind the provincial Peacekeeper Memorial Day service, the Remembrance Day assemblies at Leo Hayes High School and the Remembrance Day ceremony at a long-forgotten cenotaph in Barker’s Point, New Brunswick. Mr. LeBlanc has coordinated the distribution of the Canadian Peacekeeper Service Medal within the Fredericton area. Mr. LeBlanc has also given his support to the cadet movement in New Brunswick.
