William Arthur Layman

Qualicum Beach, British Columbia

Mr. William Arthur Layman is a Veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy for 35 years. Upon retirement, Mr. Layman moved to Qualicum Beach and joined The Royal Canadian Legion. During his membership with the Legion, Mr. Layman has served on the executive for thirteen years, including two years as vice president and another two years as president. He continues to serve on the executive as the chair of the annual Poppy Campaign. In addition to his duties on the executive, Mr. Layman continues to work tirelessly on various fundraising efforts in order to assist Veterans in need. He is also a driving force in keeping the Legion’s property maintained. Recently, in recognition of his long and outstanding service to the Legion, Mr. Layman was awarded his Life Membership.
