William Steedman

Peterborough, Ontario

Mr. Steedman is a retired Canadian Forces Veteran. He is the past President of the Peterborough Chapter of the Canadian Association of Veterans in United Nations Peacekeeping and has served as Vice President and Secretary over the years. He is President of 428 Wing, Air Force Association of Canada and is a past Director of the Association. Mr. Steedman served two terms on the Air Cadet Sponsoring Committee at 428 Wing. He is a member of the United Services Institute and the Senior Ranks Mess of the Hastings Prince Edward Regiment. He was membership chairman of the Officer's Mess, which merged with the Sergeants' and Warrant Officers' Mess. Mr. Steedman served as Co chair of the Peterborough Remembers Committee and the Veterans Advisory Committee. Mr. Steedman assists the Chosen Soldier Project, ensuring care packages are sent to Trenton for shipment to soldiers in Afghanistan, at no cost. He has assisted with the Sabre jet Memorial Rededication and the Heroes Tribute Gala. In past years, Mr. Steedman has served on the Peterborough Armoury 100th Anniversary Committee and the Air Show Committee. Mr. Steedman is a tireless volunteer who works with, and for, Veterans.
