William Thompson

Mr. Thompson is a Second World War Veteran. He has been a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion since 1949. He began his RCL membership in Snowden, Saskatchewan, where he remained an active member for 14 years. At the Snowden Branch, he organized the construction of a new Legion building and spearheaded the Remembrance Day activities annually. At his current Legion Branch, Mr. Thompson has been involved in numerous capacities. He has been Director of the Executive Committee, chair of the Membership Committee, head of the Poppy Committee, Service Officer, and he has served on the Sick and Visiting Committee. Mr. Thompson, at his own expense, will visit Veterans as far away as Pouce Coupe.
