Mr. Dubé is a retired Canadian Forces Veteran. He has belonged to several service clubs over the years, including the Lion's Club, Cystic Fibrosis Association and the Knights of Columbus. Since 1996, Mr. Dubé has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion having served as both First and Second Vice-President responsible for the annual Poppy Campaign as well as fundraising for disabled Veterans. Mr. Dubé was President of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 83 from 2005 to 2007. Gifted with excellent organizational skills, Mr. Dubé has been successful in increasing his Legion Branch membership from 100 to 160 members. Those members have also benefited from his assistance in obtaining services and benefits to which they are entitled. Mr. Dubé promotes annual Peacekeepers Day ceremonies and ensures that the United Nations flag is raised each year during the month of August. Since 2000, Mr. Dubé has visited Veterans at different care facilities to assess their living conditions and to determine if there needed to be any follow-up by Veterans Affairs Canada. Mr. Dubé is well known and respected for his dedication to the well-being of Veterans.
