Captain Sean Kent has tirelessly devoted his spare time both at home and while deployed overseas to try to ensure his fellow Canadian Forces members, Canadian Veterans and those who have gone before him are better off. Sean created his own not for profit organization called Remembrance Coin to raise money for mental health initiatives. He was formerly the chair of the unmarked grave program through the Last Post Fund and is involved with the Veteran Portrait Project, volunteering his time to take professional photographs of Veterans and their families.
Sean is a current serving member of the Canadian Armed Forces. In 2018, Sean founded Remembrance Coin with the primary goal of raising money for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) programs through Wounded Warriors Canada. To date, he has raised and donated over $50,000. Additionally, he has raised thousands of dollars for the Military Police Fund for Blind Children.
Sean also volunteers with the Last Post Fund and is currently Chair of the Unmarked Grave Program for Ontario. He has located over 50 unmarked graves which have been submitted to receive permanent grave markers ensuring that our Veterans are not forgotten.
Sean is also involved with the Veteran Portrait Project, volunteering his time and effort to take professional portraits of Veterans and their families. To date he has completed over 120 portraits across the country, creating a lasting memento of our Veterans and their service.
