Ms. Valorie Flynn

Ms. Flynn contributes an extraordinary amount of volunteer time to help and support Veterans. She is a Life Member of the Royal Regiment of Canada Association since 2009, where she is a cadet liaison with the 2736 Cadet Corps. As a Director she has been involved with the Veterans Concerns Committee (VCC), which was recently developed and organized to serve Veterans. At Sunnybrook Hospital, Ms. Flynn promotes quality of life for Veterans by ensuring they are involved in hobbies and assisting with day trips to various events such as the regimental ceremonial parades and Warriors’ Day at the Canadian National Exhibition. She volunteers at the Sunnybrook Hospital Blythwood Social Club serving food, refreshments, and drinks to the Veterans. She is very active with the Royal Canadian Legion (RCL), serving as Service Officer of Branch 266/46, where she ensures Veterans are receiving the benefits they are entitled to during home visits or visits at the Branch. She also help Veterans determine and apply for eligible medals. Ms. Flynn o assists at many RCL events, including poppy drives.
