Son of Alfred Caron and Marie-Louise Bélanger of Verdun (Montréal), Québec.

He pretended being three years older when he enlisted.

Enlisted in the 22nd Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, he arrived in Plymouth, England, on 29 May 1915. He landed at Boulogne, France, on 15 September. A member of the 9th Platoon, C Company, he was killed in action on 17 October 1915 at Kemmel in the Ypres Salient, Belgium. His name is entered in the De Ruvigny roll of Honour in the United Kingdom.

LA LAITERIE MILITARY CEMETERY Belgium

LA LAITERIE MILITARY CEMETERY is located 7 Km south of Ieper town centre on the Kemmelseweg (N331), connecting Ieper to Kemmel.

From Ieper town centre the Kemmelseweg is reached via the Rijselsestraat, through the Lille Gate (Rijselpoort) and straight on towards Armentieres (N336). 900 metres after the crossroads is the right hand turning onto the Kemmelseweg made prominent by a level crossing. The cemetery is located on the right hand side of the road, 5 km after joining the Kemmelseweg.
