Son of Louis Salois and Hermine Hébert of Montreal, Quebec.

He was seriously injured in the thighs on April 27, 1917, near Vimy, France. He died of gas gangrene three weeks later at No.3 General Hospital in Boulogne, France.

On April 29, 1917, he lost his brother Albert (Service Number 847126), who died of illness during his military service in Quebec.
