Additional information
Baptized Joseph-Achille-Amédée Bourget. Son of Joseph Bourget and Flora Julien, of Montréal. He stated being born in 1896 when he enlisted.

Enlisted in the 245th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, he transferred to the 23rd Battalion in England on 15 May 1917. He was transferred to the 22nd Battalion on the following 7 September. He was severely wounded on 8 June 1918 in the trenches of Neuville-Vitasse, in France, and evacuated in England. After several months in hospital, he was almost healed when, at the end of October, he contracted the Spanish Flu. He was then transferred to Manor (County of London) War Hospital, in Horton, where he died of pneumonia a week later.
