Son of H. N. Thomas, of West Ealing, London, England, and the late Rev. John Thomas; husband of Ellen S. Thomas, of Rutland House, Britannia Square, Worcester, England. Pte Thomas enlisted at Valcartier, Quebec on 20 September 1914. He was medically discharged on 3 March 1918.

Grave of 27733 Pvt. Albert Rodney Thomas who served with the 15th Battn. C.E.F. Born in Kerefordshire England on Nov. 1st 1886. He enlisted into the C.E.F. at Camp Valcartier on Sept. 22nd 1914 where he listed his occupation as "Farmer" He died at Vancouver BC on Oct. 25th 1918 at the age of 32.
