Grave of 645917 Lance Corp. Alfred Whitehead who served with the 29th Battn. C.E.F. Born in the city of Leeds in Yorkshire England on Dec. 31st 1890. Alfred enlisted into the 158th Battn. C.E.F. (Replacement) at Vancouver BC on Feb. 28th 1916 listing prior military service of 3 years with the 8th West Yorks Regt.(Imp.) he listed his occupation as "Railway Freight Handler" Alfred died at Vancouver BC on Aug. 18th 1919 at the age of 28. He was laid to rest in the Mountail View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
