Husband of Josephine McCluskey, of Manchester, England. Father of Rodolphe Georges Rogues De Fursac.

On 2 November 1942, the P.L.M. 27 was at anchor off Bell Island, Conception Bay, Newfoundland, position 47°36'N/52°58'W, waiting to join convoy WB-9 when she was torpedoed by U-518. Seven sailors lost their lives. The captain, 35 crew members and six gunners had to swim to shore.
