Flags and flowers pay tribute to six brave airmen whose lives were taken from them nearly 70 years ago. Sergeant Rutherford is buried alongside the other members of his crew, at the right hand end, in the tranquil churchyard of l'Eglise Notre Dame, Barville, Normandy. Picture taken 18 August 2011.
