Son of Joseph and Magdalena Yunker, of Balgonie, Saskatchewan. Brother of Albinus, Cecil, Adam, Alphonse, Reverend C. Georgina, and Josephine.
1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, War Medal 1939-45.
Posthumously awarded RCAF Operational Wings in recognition of gallant service in action against the enemy, the 21 January 1947.

ST. ARNOULT-DES-BOIS COMMUNAL CEMETERY Eure-et-Loir, France
St. Arnoult-des-Bois is a village and commune 11.1 miles (18 kilometres) west-north-west of Chartres on the D.24 road from Senonches. In the churchyard, opposite the west door of the church, is the joint grave of two airmen of the Royal Canadian Air Force.
