Son of Katherine Moore (nee Campbell) and Henry Becher of London, Ontario. Husband of Flora Adine (nee Wilson) Becher and father of John Campbell and Archibald Alexander Cameron, of Thornwood, London, Ontario. Brother of Lorne and Major Henry Campbell Becher, killed in action 15 June 1915.
Commemorated on the St Paul's Cathedral Becher plaque.
