1148 2nd Lieut Herbert Cust Boyd (RMC 1915) was the son of William Thornton Cust and Meta Boyd, of Bobcaygeon, Ontario. He served with the Royal Army Service Corps Division: attd. King's Own Yorkshire Light Inf. He died of appendicitis on Feb 17, 1918. He was buried at Peterborough (Little Lake) Cemetery, Ontario, Canada.
