He listed himself as single, was an only child and his civilian occupation was stockkeeper. Cousin of William Matthew Livingstone of Calgary, Alberta, formerly served with Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve.

1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star, General Service Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and he was awarded his Operational Wings posthumously the 5 March 1947.
