D-Day 80 Event at Halifax Citadel

Veterans Affairs Canada and Parks Canada will be holding a Commemorative Event in the lead up to the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site on May 27 at 7pm. The event will include speeches from dignitaries as well as some videos of D-Day Veterans sharing their stories. 

The event is free and open to the public, but seating will be limited to invited guests. Parks Canada's "Storm the Beaches" D-Day exhibit will also be open for the event.
