War Report on the mortal wounds suffered by Edgar Demeule
On April 25, he was admitted to the military field hospital for serious injuries, presumably (both legs) since he was sent out of the combat zone into the "convoy of the sick", probably on April 26, 1915.
On April 28 he died as a result of his wounds.
The announcement to his family is made by telegram, May 11, 1915.

L'insigne du service général était un insigne réglementaire porté par les soldats du Corps expéditionnaire canadien sur leur couvre-chef pendant la Première Guerre mondiale.
En principe, l'insigne du service général distinguait les soldats canadiens des soldats britanniques. En pratique, cependant, la plupart des unités et formations canadiennes dessinaient et acquéraient leur propre insigne. Il est constitué d'une feuille d'érable stylisée en superposition avec la couronne britannique et le mot Canada.

HAZEBROUCK COMMUNAL CEMETERY Nord, France
Hazebrouck is a town lying about 56 kilometres south-east of Calais and is easily reached from Calais or Boulogne. The HAZEBROUCK COMMUNAL CEMETERY is on the south-western outskirts of the town.
From the Grand place in Hazebrouck follow the D.916 Bethune road. Traverse the first set of traffic lights and the HAZEBROUCK COMMUNAL CEMETERY is 200 metres further on the right hand side of the road as indicated by a signpost. The cemetery lies immediately inside the entrance.
