Lieutenant Gerald Galt
Remembering Gerald Galt: « Our Duty to Remember guided us in sponsoring this soldier who gave his life for our freedom. Along with fellow soldiers, he crossed the Atlantic Ocean to assist our tired people. We wish to honour his memory to prevent his service from being forgotten. Through him, we also honour all these men and women from various countries who made the ultimate sacrifice. Our tribute is very little compared to their sacrifices. »

All I know is that my grandfather took this photo in Chile in 1915. He was there as a mine engineer working in Chuquicamata. Some of the picture are in Rancagua. This one was labeled portrait of Gerald Galt.

HYDE PARK CORNER (ROYAL BERKS) CEMETERY Belgium
HYDE PARK CORNER (ROYAL BERKS) CEMETERY is located 12.5 Km south of Ieper town centre, on the Rijselseweg (N365), a road connecting Ieper to Armentieres.
From Ieper town centre the Rijselsestraat runs from the market square, through the Lille Gate (Rijselpoort) and directly over the crossroads with the Ieper ring road. The road name then changes to the Rijselseweg.
The cemetery lies 12.5 Km along the N365 after passing through the settlements of Wijtschate and Mesen. The HYDE PARK CORNER (ROYAL BERKS) CEMETERY is located on the left hand side of the road and opposite the prominent Ploegsteert Memorial.
