Page 629 of 1140. His initial grave was located between Pozieres and Courcelette, 4 ½ miles North East of Albert. After the Armistice the bodies of almost 1900 soldiers, mostly those of men who, like Private Davidson, died around Courcelette and Pozieres in 1916, were exhumed and re-interred in COURCELETTE BRITISH CEMETERY.

COURCELETTE BRITISH CEMETERY Somme, France
Courcelette is a village some 10 kilometres north-east of the town of Albert, just off the D929 road to Bapaume. The Courcelette British Cemetery is approximately 1 kilometre west of the village on the south side of a track, suitable for cars, from the secondary road from Courcelette to Pozieres. The route is signposted in the village.
