Private Carvery was shot and killed by Private Arthur Johnson (#931052). Private Johnson was found guilty of murder and was sentenced to death. The sentence was commuted to 15 years Penal Servitude by Field Marshall Sir Douglas Haig. The sentence was promulgated on December 23, 1918 and was to expire on December 14, 1933.

DELSAUX FARM CEMETERY Pas de Calais, France
Beugny is a village 19 kilometres south-west of Cambrai on the RN30 Bapaume-Cambrai road. The RD20 Haplincourt/Roquiny forms a T junction with the RN30 opposite and the Mairie at Beugny. The DELSAUX FARM CEMETERY is signposted at this point and is 1 kilometre from the T junction leaving Beugny on the RD20 in the direction of Haplincourt. The cemetery is on the left adjacent to the RD20.
