Baptized François Langlois. Son of Aimé Langlois (deceased in 1897) and Louise Collin (remarried in 1909 to François Deraiche and deceased in 1916), of Port-Daniel, Gaspé, Québec. Aimé was married four times, and Louise twice.
He declared his first name as "Frank" and was born on December 14th, 1894, when he enlisted. He is listed as "Frank" in the Book of Remembrance.
Following the death of his mother he had named his uncle and adoptive father, François "Frank" Deraiche, as his next of kin and heir.
Enlisted in the 189th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, he sailed for Great Britain on September 23, 1916, and arrived in Liverpool, England, on October 6. Upon his arrival, he was assigned to Company B of the 69th Battalion before transferring to the 10th Reserve Battalion on January 4, 1917. On April 20, he was transferred to the 22nd Battalion. On the 30th, he crossed the English Channel and landed in Le Havre, Normandy, France. He was immediately placed under the command of the 2nd Canadian Brigade Depot until December 12, when he rejoined the 22nd Battalion, which was being rebuilt following the bloodbath at Passchendaele. He was killed in action on February 27, 1918, in the trenches at Lens, Pas-de-Calais, France.

AIX-NOULETTE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION Pas de Calais, France
Aix-Noulette is a village in the Department of the Pas-de-Calais, about 13 kilometres south of Bethune on the main road to Arras. From Arras take the D937 towards Bethune. At Aix-Noulette, turn right at the church. The Communal Cemetery and Extension are a few hundred metres on the left side of the road to Bully-Grenay.
