Second Lieutenant Basil Lancelot Cumpston is remembered on this brass Memorial Tablet. It was unveiled on May 1st, 1921 in memory of Upper Canada College students who died on active service during the First World War. Upper Canada College is located in Toronto, Ontario.

The Soldiers' Tower was built at University of Toronto between 1919-1924 in memory of those lost to the University in the Great War. The names of the fallen are carved on the Memorial Screen, which can be seen at photo left.

ACHIET-LE-GRAND COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION Pas de Calais, France
Achiet-le-Grand is a large village in the department of the Pas-de-Calais 19 kilometres south of Arras. The Military Cemetery is situated at the north-west side of the village alongside the Communal Cemetery.
One should take the main road from Arras to Bapaume (N17). At Ervillers turn right on to the D9 towards Achiet. At the first junction in the village a CWGC signpost indicates the way towards the right.
