Grave of 629110 Pvt. John Evelyn Roberts who served with the 47th Battn. C.E.F. He was born in Cheshire England on April 4th 1878, Husband of Ella Roberts of Lynne Creek Vancouver BC, John enlisted into the C.E.F. at Camp Vernon on July 8th 1915 listing prior military service with the 11th Irish Fusiliers (Militia) he listed his occupation as "Carpenter" John died at Vancouver BC on Dec. 4th 1917 at the age of 37. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
