Born in Coatbridge Scotland on June 13th 1880. Husband of Mary Ward of Burnaby BC. Charles enlisted into the C.E.F. at Vancouver BC on May 3rd 1915 listing prior military service of 12 years with the 37th Coy, Royal Army Service Corps. He listed his occupation as "Teamster" Charles died at Vancouver BC on July 29th 1920 at the age of 40. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
