Born in Dublin, Ireland on 31 December 1879. Son of the late Peter and Margaret Wright; husband of Amelia Wright, of Montreal, Quebec. Uncle of Alice Curley of Dublin, Ireland, brother of Mrs. Lucy Gordon of Dublin, Ireland and Mr. John Wright of Manchester, England. He attested on 26 October 1914 at Montreal, Quebec. He went overseas on the SS Scandanavia on 17 June 1916. He was medically discharged on December 26, 1916.
