Watch
Service issued watch carried by Private Sidney John Crook 5th Infantry Btn CEF. He died of wounds as a result of action at Hill 60 on 7th June 1916. The watch was passed to his older brother Sgt. 1649 Harry Crook PPCLI, and subsequently saw action at Vimy and Passchendaele where Harry was wounded but survived. Sadly no photographs of either brother survive, but today the watch carries on keeping perfect time. -
