Additional information

Son of Onézime Fradette and Olympe Laverdière, of Inverness, Mégantic, Québec.

He enlisted on November 15, 1915, in the 69th Reserve Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force. He sailed for Great Britain on April 17, 1916, and arrived in Liverpool, England, on the 27th.

His original enlistment document most probably has been lost, so he was re-enrolled while overseas.

He was assigned to the 10th Reserve Battalion on January 4, 1917, before being transferred to the 22nd Battalion on the 20th. He crossed into France on the 21st and landed at Le Havre, Normandy, that same day. He was seriously wounded in action on November 9, 1917, during the Battle of Passchendaele, Belgium, near Abraham Heights. He was first taken to the 1st Casualty Clearing Station, then on the same day to the 2nd Casualty Clearing Station, where he died on November 9, 1917.
