Grave Marker
This is Private Barker's grave Marker at Nottingham Road Cemetery, Derby. According to BMD records and his Attestation Papers, he was the son of Henry & Elizabeth Ward and was born at Hathern, Leicestershire on 7th June 1887. At the time he enlisted at Windsor, Ontario on 19th February 1916, he was living at Lancaster, Missouri, USA and was working as an animal trainer. -
Cemetery
This is the small war graves plot at Nottingham Road Cemetery, Derby of about 40 burials from both World Wars. Private Ward's grave is in the centre of the picture, the left hand marker of the group of four in line.
