Additional information
Son of Thomas Easdale and Helen Gordon, of Govan, Glasgow, Scotland.

William Easdale entered Canada via the United States on 24 April 1916 and had every intention of enlisting, as he did so the next day in Montreal. He first served with the 163rd Battalion for six months in Bermuda and then in England. He was transferred to France as a reinforcement for the 22nd Battalion on 29 March 1918, but after only a few days at the reinforcement camp, he was reassigned to the 14th Battalion. He joined them on 13 April, and ten days later, he was killed in action.
