Brother of Second Lieutenant Arthur Cecil Shakerley, Royal Field Artillery killed in action on 22 April 1917 and Lieutenant Colonel Geoffrey Charles Shakerley, King's Royal Rifle Corps, killed in action on 15 May 1915.
