Ronald Bellew, born April 30, 1894, Meshaw, Devon, England, died at Vimy Ridge on September 26, 1916. Ronald was a homesteader at St. Walburg, Saskatchewan when he enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Battleford on April 24, 1915. He was the nephew of Maud Harland who died at Fort Pitt on August 10, 1975. -
Inscription
His name as it is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial. Over 11,000 fallen Canadians having no known place of burial in France, are honoured on this Memorial. May they never be forgotten. (J. Stephens)
