Burial/memorial information
Enlisted in the 206th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, he was transferred to the 167th Battalion and, on an unspecified date, left for Bermuda on 18 November 1916. He arrived in Liverpool, England, on 6 December. Posted to the 10th Reserve Battalion on 7 January 1917, he transferred to the 150th Battalion on 26 February and returned to the 10th Battalion on 1 March 1918. On 8 August 1918, he was transferred to the 22nd Battalion and landed in France on the 10th, where he was killed in action on 28 August 1918 during the Battle of Chérisy.
