His name as it is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial. Over 11,000 fallen Canadians having no known place of burial in France, are honoured on this Memorial. May they never be forgotten. (J. Stephens) -

Source: Library and Archives Canada. CIRCUMSTANifice is commemoCES OF DEATH REGISTERS, FIRST WORLD WAR. Surnames: Davy to Detro. Microform Sequence 27; Volume Number 31829_B016736. Reference RG150, 1992-93/314, 171. Page 835 of 1036. He was buried 1 mile East of Le Sars, 2 ½ miles South West of Bapaume, France. After the Armistice, his grave could not be found. Hence his sacrifice is commemorated at the Vimy Memorial. -
